Spiritual Adoption
(Stopping Abortions-One baby at a time)

Do you believe in the power of prayer? If so, you can save the life of an unborn baby at risk of being aborted by Spiritual Adoption. Simply begin praying that the life of the baby whom you spiritually and mentally adopt will be saved. Spiritual Adoption is a personal resolution to pray daily for 9 months for a particular baby, known only by God, in danger of deliberate abortion. Your intercessory prayers will save your spiritually adopted baby's life. In this life, you may never know the baby whose life you saved by Spiritual Adoption but hopefully someday in heaven you will recognize him or her and be united in eternal happiness. Think about it! You have the power to save two unborn babies at risk of abortion every eighteen months. How many babies will you save? Christ is Counting on You
As part of the Body of Christ, we have a solemn responsibility to promote the culture of life in our environments. We should all work to increase the awareness of the dignity and sacredness of every human life from conception to a natural death wherever we are as individuals and/or as part of other groups and ministries. We can begin with prayer. Prayer will lead us to action. Perhaps this action will be to witness your pro-life beliefs or to educate others on the facts. Perhaps you can volunteer at a pregnancy crisis center or financially help to keep one open. Perhaps you can pray or counsel outside of an abortion clinic or help volunteer with the aged at a nursing home or relieve a caregiver of a person with dementia. Perhaps you can write letters to the editor of newspapers or legislators concerning life issues. These are just a few examples. We are all in this together. Christ is counting on us. He is counting on YOU!

SCHEDULED EXECUTION IN FLORIDA - ALL HUMAN LIFE IS SACRED:
The U. S. Catholic Bishops have called all Catholics to participate in a campaign to achieve the abolishment of the death penalty, see: www.usccb.org/deathpenalty/.
Our Bishops have stated that, “At a time when the sanctity of life is threatened in many ways, taking life is not really a solution but may instead effectively undermine respect for life.” This pending execution gives Florida Catholics the opportunity to be a part of the campaign in a very personal way. Our hearts and lives must have special space for the victims and their loved ones as well. But let it be known that “standing with families of victims does not compel us to support the use of the death penalty” (U.S. Bishops). The Our Father beads resemble droplets of blood in the shape of a cross. The Crucifix is gleaming gold. Promises Accompany Recitation: "I affirm that each Hail Mary prayed from a loving heart will rescue one of these innocent lives from death by abortion...

Standing for the Unborn
On this feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord, we, the leadership of the Jesuits in the United States, fervently renew our opposition to abortion and our support for the unborn. In treating this delicate and controversial topic, we hope to provide our brother Jesuits, colleagues, parishioners and students with the spiritual leadership and ethical guidance they expect from us. As an international ...
